Five Minute Post

I have five minutes before I have to pick up Dylan from school, and I resolved once AGAIN to try blogging.  I think now that Mike and I have decided that Noah will be our last child, I'm feeling that time is slipping by too quickly and the kids are growing up too fast.  With each child, I have taken less and less pictures and videos, so I am going to try my best to capture our life... the highs and the lows on this blog...  So once again, I am committing myself to this challenge.  FIGHTING!!!!  Now off to picking up the kids from school!

Two years later...

Seems I can't get a hang of this blogging thing.  It's been two years since my last entry... Since then, our family has grown once again.  Noah Jackson Lim was born July 12, 2012.  He is now 15 months old and is the shot caller in the family.
We also moved into our very own home in January 2013.  We now live on the other side of Fullerton.  We love it here.  We can now walk to Dylan's school! Yay!!!!

We started attending a new church so that Michael could finally join us for Sunday worship services.  Double yay!!!

Life is definitely hectic and the day flies by so quickly, but we love it and we are grateful for all that God has blessed us with!!!

Let's see how long it'll be before the next post.

Days 3...4...5...6...7...

Day 3:  On the third day of Christmas we... Read a Christmas book..."Santa Mouse".
It's about a sweet, lonely, little mouse who is asked to be Santa's special helper...thus naming the nameless mouse, Santa Mouse!  Cute story.

Day 4:  Turn on Christmas music and have a holiday sing-a-long.
It worked out perfectly because we had a last minute kid's Christmas gift exchange at our house.  We turned on Christmas music....but didn't have a sing-a-long... Still, it was nice and the kids had a very merry jolly ole' time!

Day 5... Donate toys... (Pushed back to Day 6)
We didn't get to do that today because we went to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Day 6:  Finally donate toys.
Dylan kind of had a hard time and only donated "McDonald's toys" at first... but then he realized he had a lot of stuff he didn't play with anymore that could be played with by another kid... We call that "day caring" a toy (he picked it up from Toy Story 3) :)

Day 7...We were supposed to hang up window clings... but didn't get to because we took family pics with the talented Wendy of Bluelilyphotography.com.  So the window clings will have to wait until tomorrow.

I totally loved the way balloons are incorporated in pictures, so I just had to get a bunch of colorful balloons to jazz up our pictures...  More photos to come.

Good night for tonight.... Too tired... xoxo

Dylanisms

Dylan has been saying so many funny things lately, so I decided to record it to make fun of him later....muhahahaha!

"milk comes from cows and water comes from penguins"  When I asked him where he learned that, he said matter of factly, "we just know."

Dylan thinks the bear from toy story is called "hump bear" because it has only one hump....??!!??!?!!?!

Just had to record it really quickly before I forget it :)

Day 1:  Decorate the Christmas tree and "deck our halls"

Day 2:  Take "Christmasy" family picture!

Back from a one and a half year hiatus!

This year and a half break has brought many changes!!! We moved locations, started going to church regularly, Mike opened up his liquor store, Dylan turned 3...started preschool, and Madeleine Jane Lim joined our family on March 10, 2010.

I realized that with two kids, it's really difficult to keep any record of baby #2's first year. Here I am, getting ready to plan her dohl and I realized that I haven't kept track of her firsts...or taken as many pictures as I would have liked...so, I'm going to attempt to record all of our moments via this blog so that Dylan and Maddie will have this cool blog to show all their milestones and all the fun stuff we've done and will do.... So my 2011 New Year's Resolution is to...try blogging a second time.

A Trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!!!

This was the first time Dylan met Mickey Mouse. He was so shocked and excited! (BTW, I love Mickey's cool outfit with the scarf. Better than his shirtless red overalls!

We went to Disneyland with Dylan's awesome Uncle Dave. He spent the whole day taking pictures for us, holding Dylan, waiting in lines, buying yummy popsicles, and memorable souvenirs (Mickey Ears). What more could you ask for in an uncle! Thanks Uncle Dave!!

We were also joined by the Kim Family! Sam, Jung, Abby, & Hannah! It was Abby and Hannah's first trip to Disneyland too. =)

The Korea section of Small World. I got peed on by Dylan during the ride. Should have changed his diaper sooner =)
Another pic of the adorable Kim girls!

Yummy pickles!!Dylan was too scared to ride the carousel. He had to be held the whole time =) Next time.
Aren't the Mickey ears cute? Thanks again Uncle Dave!

What an awesome way to celebrate your birthday! =) Thanks Disneyland for the free ticket!
